The outdoor view of spring is beautiful but still chilly.

Spring in the south is a tricky thing. One day, it’s gorgeous out and then next is when you’ll see snow falling on daffodils. Although South Carolina is a lot luckier than most Mid-Atlantic states, we still get a few chilly days courtesy of the mountain range that is north of us. The worst part about this time of year – beyond hazardous weather – is when the electric bill arrives. Talk about being shocked by electricity! This year, we decided to do something different for our Lancaster, SC home and insulate it from the cold winds as well as the blistering hot summers.
